Leslie Fletcher, BSN, RN, MEP-C, a highly respected aesthetic nurse injector since 2001 has worked with world-renowned celebrity dermatologists and plastic surgeons who utilize the dermal fillers Juvederm®, Restylane®®, as well as the muscle relaxants Botox® and Dysport® in their practices.
She recognized that these aesthetic injectables revolutionized how the signs of aging were addressed, but also believed that a modern, powerful methodology would maximize their potential.
Although well trained in medical science, including the structures that compose the facial armature, Leslie looked to the principles of architectural engineering for the rationale to back her theories. With extensive experience as an accomplished seamstress and designer, she regularly used her experiences of clothing construction to exact the details she desired. These varied skills served as the foundation for her research.
Her epiphany came while driving along the infamous 405 freeway in Los Angeles. She realized that the strategically placed struts supporting a retaining wall were the missing piece of the puzzle. Thus began the pioneering of the ArqueDerma® Artistic Restoration Lift® technique.
Today, her innovative, patented technique is practiced by close to 450 Licensed ArqueDerma Practitioners in six different countries who carry out the technique on thousands of patients worldwide each year.
Her innovation doesn’t stop at dermal fillers, she has created new uses for muscle relaxers, such as Botox®, to slim the nose, and diminish double chins.
Leslie is passionate about instructing her trainers and licensees in her medical and artistic skills in the ArqueDerma trainings, held through her aesthetic training company, InjectAbility®Institute, www.injectibilityinstitute.com. She also imparts her concepts and knowledge with her work as a faculty injection trainer for several companies, including IntraMed®, Allergan®, Medicis®, and Scientiae®. These venues offer her a unique window to the latest and most ground-breaking techniques in the world of injectables. This platform not only benefits her trainers and licensees, but affords their patients the most up-to date technology and techniques available.
She regularly publishes articles for the European Medical journal, Journal of Aesthetic Nursing (JAN) where she serves on the editorial board. Leslie also lectures at various national and international aesthetic conferences, round tables, and has participated in product and technology focus groups for major pharmaceutical companies.
She is a member of American Society of Plastic Surgical Nurses (ASPSN), the Society of Plastic Surgical Skin Care Specialists (SPSSCS), and American Academy of Medical Esthetic Professionals (AAMEP) as well as Association of Medical Esthetic Nurses (AMEN). In 2008, she became one of only 100 practitioners in the U.S. to obtain certification in the medical aesthetic field as a Medical Esthetic Professional-Certified (MEP-C).
These experiences combined with her astute artistic skills and ability to cultivate and energize her trainees makes Leslie a valuable industry resource for aesthetic medical practitioners worldwide.
